Weee!
This is probably one of the biggest projects I did this year! My oldest sister's birthday present! This is a scene from her wedding in Tacoma. It was near the water and it was a very blustery day.
The actual size is 9 x 14, I think. It's made up of lots and lots of fiber-like paper layered on top of each other (9 or more layers, i think o.O.). It's all held together on canvas board with homemade wheat glue. I worked on it for about a week (and was very sick most of the time wheee!) The style is based on Kate Endle's work. (Google her and lover her!) And I bow down to my Artist Book's teacher for giving me the skillz.
I didn't want to share it until I made sure she got it. Which she has! I want to do more. Maybe open up for commission. It would be fun. Eeee!
